In ancient Greece, the asclepion was a healing temple dedicated to Asclepius, the God of Medicine. Asclepius learned the art of surgery from the centaur Chiron and had the ability to raise the dead. The Rod of Asclepius is a roughhewn branch entwined with a single serpent.

30 Years of Radiology
This is a CT of the brain from 1976. I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to see in this picture. Isn't it crazy how much imaging has improved in the last three decades? (Just google image brain CT).
