In ancient Greece, the asclepion was a healing temple dedicated to Asclepius, the God of Medicine. Asclepius learned the art of surgery from the centaur Chiron and had the ability to raise the dead. The Rod of Asclepius is a roughhewn branch entwined with a single serpent.

Summer Thing of the Week
I guess in honor of the recent release of Harry Potter Book 7, this week's theme will be something like things that entertain me. Books, TV shows, comic strips, things that break up the monotony of study.
